Dog barks as folks walk by

Sprinklers spinning

Lawn mowers humming

Roosters crowing

A wave to ward off mosquitos

Water splashing

"What are twins?" I ask

"Twins means friends!" one answers

The Vikings rock their boats

They watch for mermaids

I sit back and read my book

Sunglasses adjusting

Mom watching, listening and relishing...
