Tia Tuffy
I am currently fostering an 11 week old American Eskimo puppy. Her name is Tia. And gosh if she isn't fabulous defined!
Tia, in her very short life, has had a tough go of things. She was born at a local puppymill shop and lived with dozens of other puppies. Because she was born blind, she was "unsellable" and was brought to a shelter. Without getting into the details, she was adopted but for some reason it didn't work out. She was brought back. The wonderful shelter folk (and most are, but this particular story just pisses me off) decided that because she eats so quickly she would turn out to be aggressive.
Let's think about this for just a moment. She was raised with dozens of pups who ate out of a community bowl. This in itself is horribly misguided, but she's freaking BLIND! She is so afraid that another dog is going to come along and eat all of her food, she chows down to make sure she gets enough. Stupid. Back to the story...
New Beginnings Rescue took Tia in. I offered to foster her and as of around 6pm last night she is my foster dog. Come see more of her here.
