Summer.... ahhhhhh!
Wow. This week flew by! All that complaining about working all last weekend was worth it. Got my pay check today had banked 24 hours of overtime, SA-WEET!!
Sadonne, my Buick, is in the shop for some work. He needs a tune up, oil change and a new serpentine belt. Oh and exhaust work. And that whole "I like to stop running at random and horrible moments" thing. Yeah, that really added to the whole excitement of driving down 91 going 70mph only to have your car just be... well... off. When Sadonne does this, he takes away the power steering and power brakes. That is super fun! A dear friend's husband is an instructor at the Porter and Chester school, so we went to him this time. Our usual and most excellent mechanic is so excellent that he is booked for a few weeks and wanting to save life and limb, we took full advantage of the, "Get it here Wednesday."
Other than that life has been quite peaceful and uneventful around here. Lots of walks with kids and dogs, late nights, working at ye olde hospitale, gardening, watching the new grass grow. All those things that make summer great. It stopped raining finally for a couple of days so that was nice. Of course this weekend its supposed to rain and storm.
And that is it! Slow posting due to natural slowing down of life in general I suppose. A nice break. Much needed and appreciated.
