Skunked!

Let's be clear on this: its not just the dog that gets sprayed with that putrid odor. Its everywhere, its everything in and around your house. Its down deep in the carpets that he frantically rubs his entire body on, its all over your bedding that he will jump onto and furiously roll over and over on, its in any piece of material that is hanging in a room he enters. Its in the KNITTING PROJECTS that you have spent months on. Its clinging onto the walls, settling into the hardwood floor crevices. Its in the lining of your new purse, its in your hair. Its on any other fur covered animal that decided to cuddle with him for him the night. Its in your leather shoes, its on your socks. Its definitely found a home in your winter jacket.

And then... it follows you to your office where your purse is hanging and your jacket... which you didn't know stank to the point of eye burn because these things simply did not smell nearly as bad as your entire house.

So now, not only do you have skunk smell at home, in your car and in your office... you also smell like the lavender room spray you're dousing your office in. And its naturally 50 degrees in there because God forbid you don't have a window open.

Oh Clancy. My Clancy. You know how to bring it Buddy.

  1. My dogs been sprayed twice. I had a skunk take up residence under my shed. I used moth balls to deter him and he chose to leave on his own.

    I feel your pain.

  2. Jenn,
My Bella had her first experience with a skunk this weekend. We used a mixture of peroxide, baking soda and dish detergent. We lathered her up and it worked wonders. Forget the tomato juice, you might as well use it to make a bloody Mary while your washing your dog. Lisa
