Light

Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, Yule... All of these celebrations are circled around the Winter Solstice. When day wins over night and ever so tenderly and slowly, the sun outshines the moon. As we step into the light half of the year and notice the sun sets a bit later each day, we too win over darkness.Our faces turn toward the sun's glow as we leave the darkness behind.

Each of us carries within us the possibility and promise of happiness, of forgiveness, of peace. Whatever darkness we carry inside, we can choose to leave it behind and make room for the light.
