Road work on Carver Street in Granby. AKA - why I am 30 minutes late for everything.
There is road construction happening in our little ole town. This is big news because road paving is a rare thing in the 01033. Lots of patches, not a lot of rip it all up and put in a new road. I love hate to complain, but there is a solution here.
See? That cool thing with the scoop that takes exactly 18 minutes to fill up a dump truck and 36 to fill up two? It actually swivels all the way around!! If the dump truck parks behind it, you would open up a whole lane and thereby allowing people to drive by!!! Amazing!!!
Just sayin' Granby! Just sayin'.
Actually they couldn't do it like that.
ReplyDeleteIf the truck was in front, the arm would have to swing into the street side to be able to dump the dirt. They would still need to and block off traffic no matter what.
And the wires are too close to the machine on the other side. The arm is taller than the electrical wires and it's a safety hazard if they try to swing the arm on the other side. So, really they couldn't do it like you think they could.
They do think of these things you know. Just because you're in Granby does not make everyone stupid, so get off your soapbox.
