The Patrick Curran Project Family Picnic!
Well, its that time of year again. Somehow, magically the fall comes faster every year. Amazing.
With the change of the season here and the Picnic coming in less than two weeks, the days seem to go even faster. The phone calls, the running around, the planning are in full swing. Just getting to say Patrick's name this much is a gift. It means I get to tell my co-workers about our little fund and that gives me the chance to talk about him, to tell people a little about who he was and a bit about why we are doing this.
Why are we doing this? We're doing this for Patrick. We are going to work a little more than usual, we're going to run those extra errands, we are going to spend a whole day with friends and famillies that knew Patrick and those that didn't. We do it because we wish everyone got to meet Pat. Love. We do it because all that love needs to go somewhere.

My dad is sporting the all new, bright blue, Granby colored TPCP t-shirt. Pretty nifty hah? A special thanks to our friend Mike at Repro-Craft is in order. We have about 200 of these for sale for $10 for sizes Small - XL. XXL shirts are $12. They can be purchased on our site and they will be at the picnic on the 25th. The picnic details are:

2pm - 8pm
The kitchen will be open from 2pm - 6pm, kids' games, crafts, and other such silliness will run from 2pm - 4pm. Music all day by the wonderful DJ known as The Wanderer, raffles, horseshoes, bounce house, and most of all... my sister's cooking!! Tickets are cheap: $10 per adult, kids under 12 are free. If you have a couple of teenagers, our family pack makes the day even more affordable: $25 will pay for 2 adults and 2 kids between 12 - 18. Not bad hah?
We hope to see you there. Its a great day and as Patrick would say, "Its all about the kids."
