My first sweater!

The color on the bottom is more accurate than the first picture. I am making my first sweater and to make sure I wouldn't be a miserable failure, I decided to go with small and simple: pullover for the boys! Its being made with cheap ole acrylic (Lion Brand Vanna's Choice Solids, worsted weight) on size 8 needles and the pattern is Lion Brand's Coastal Stripe. These pictures are of the back which is almost done. Then I'll do the front and then the sleeves and then I beg my sister Kathy to help me sew it together! Sewing: not my thing!
