Soi Dog Rescue

So, I found out about this rescue mission for the street dogs in Thailand. In case you weren't aware of the problem there, basically the streets are filled with starving animals. The breeding is out of control and these dogs and cats are literally starving to death EVERYWHERE. Until recently, the problem has been largely ignored.

So.... enter Soi Dog (soi is Thai for "street") Rescue. Check out their site. The work they're doing for these poor animals is amazing. If these dogs were found around here, they would just be put down. But, they help these little guys out. They get full medical care, foster homing to learn social skills, housebreaking, you name it. After they are fully ready for adoption, they are listed on the website. It takes a couple months to get one of these pups or dogs or kittens or cats. Getting through customs is tricky and the dogs need to be perfectly healthy to get into the country.

Soooo... yeah I fill out an application. It takes a while, so we wouldn't get a pup until after Christmas.

Can you hear that?? That's my mother saying, "What is she CRAZY?"

Yup. She is. And all she wants for Christmas is a puppy!
