Random Thoughts

Has anyone seen my girl?
she was here not a minute ago
with pink dresses she would twirl
around and around she'd go

growing pains are for moms too
as little girls grow into little women
the eye rolls and fancy shoes
ipods and myspace and bikinis to swim in

not sure when she'll need me again
not sure if she even likes me today
please god, keep her safe. amen.
i'll be there for her anyway

my girl is growing up
not sure how the hell to stop it
just keep showing up
just keep rolling with it

she'll be back someday
i think in her twenties she'll call
and we can laugh about these days
of friends first and worship at the mall
