Victory in Connecticut Event: Victory Rally Time & Date: 5:30 pm TODAY Friday, October 10th Location: North steps of Capitol building, Hartford, CT

We've just received great news from Connecticut -- marriage equality is now the law of the land in one more state. 

The Connecticut Supreme Court ruled today, in Kerrigan & Mock v. Dept. of Public Health, that
gay and lesbian couples have the right to marry there. This is a
victory for all people who believe gay and lesbian families deserve the
same level of respect under the law.

Our congratulations go to Gay and Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD), which brought the case to court on behalf of eight plaintiffs, and Love Makes a Family (LMAF), which has been working so hard to promote marriage equality in that state.

MassEquality
has been proud to partner with both of these organizations in our
efforts to secure and defend marriage equality in every state in New
England. For the last ten months, our Field Director Amy Mello has been
running LMAF's on-the-ground field efforts, laying the groundwork we'll
need to protect the Kerrigan decision in the Legislature.
