I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter...the cast-offs of human society.
I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal.
And I was angry.
"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment and then He spoke softly.
"I have done something," He replied.
"I created You."

that is why we only get our pets from shelters! they are the ones who NEED to be adopted!!!! the may not be pedigree but, who cares, they are the best pets on the planet.

ReplyDeleteClancy is pedigree. He's an AKC Golden purchased from a wondeful breeder in Granby, MA. I received/begged for him as a birthday gift last year. Sammi is a "rescue/needing a home" dog though!
I just always a puppy GR and there are days when his company at night is the best part of my day!!!
